I really can’t get over how pretty the weather was at Lake Tahoe this week. I’ve never gone all the way to Sand Harbor, which is a long drive from where we stay, in the winter time. It’s worth the drive.
I missed talking to you on Wednesday, but I did make more progress on my new book. I read one time that at a bookstore author book signing a long time ago, when Stephen King was still a fairly new author so not well-known, the line in front of his table was really long, much longer than at the other author’s table, and the person who wrote the article had the theory that it’s because Stephen King is excited about what he’s writing. That excitement shines through.
That’s how I feel with my next book/series. Excited. Hopefully that will shine through!
Here’s the other photo…I remembered I have some nice ones from Roosevelt Island from my trip there in September. I developed this one for you. Another beautiful day to enjoy.

How was your week?
Dear Nia, Very busy week for us; still shocked with so many acts of terrorism in several parts of the world. In regard to your beautiful post (photos, and your new writing project), keep the fire on your belly, and your eyes to the gorgeous things and places around us. Thanks so much! Have a terrific weekend! 🙂

Thank you, Fabio. It is a hard thing to process. I’ve spent a lot of time working through it with like-minded people who have helped me make peace in my mind and heart. Enjoy your week my friend.

Such gorgeous photos. I agree with you that if the passion for the project isn’t there it will be a lackluster read.

I’ve written some like that, Robena, and abandoned them.

I think that excitement is key. I was told recently that part of my problem is that when people ask me if I’m a good photographer I don’t rate myself very well. I think it is a hard thing to do. Lovely to see you going to Sand Harbour more, it is a beautiful spot.
I’m excited for you too, it is so good to hear you are excited about your next project. It is wonderful.
My week, mmm, not worth talking about really. lol.

Thank you, Leanne!
I think that is a VERY odd question to ask someone, are you a good photographer. If someone asked me if I was a good writer, I would have no idea what to say. Basically it’s in the eye of the beholder, right? You have a lot of beholders who love your work, and I have readers who love my work. Not everyone, of course! We’ve certainly applied ourselves over a very long time to the craft. We can certainly say that.

It was from someone who is in marketing and helping me to market myself, it is that expectation that if you don’t have confidence in yourself how can you sell yourself.
