Do you remember, in the Peanuts comics, Linus and The Great Pumpkin? Linus would get very excited leading up to Halloween every year because of arrival of The Great Pumpkin. Well, in our garden, the Great Pumpkin cometh for sure.
Round pumpkinLong pumpkinBig pumpkin. “The Great Pumpkin?”
Thank you, Sheri! That’s great that the Linus and the Great Pumpkin series was your favorite. I’m so glad you noticed my blog post. Nice to hear from you. Hope you are enjoying autumn and not getting too much rain.
So far the weather has been beautiful here. Sunny warm days, though the chilly evenings and mornings are noticeably fall. Hope you’re enjoying the fall too.
Nice to meet you too, Ann! May you have a wonderful October. (I understand my brothers are going to be cooked into a cake, but I get to be a decoration…at least for a while.)
Roasted then mashed, Laurie. I’m going to make a pumpkin bundt cake in this beautiful new pan I bought. I need pumpkin puree for that. 🙂 I won’t need much. We’ll can the extra. Or make soup. I’m too sad to cut it though. Two days have gone by and I can’t bring myself to cut into its perfect orange color and nice round shape. 😦
That sounds yummy Nicci. I’m fond of pumpkin in all its forms. Now grasp a large knife, imagine the pumpkin will attack without warning and go for it….
I definitely remember that Peanuts one…It was my favorite. Beautiful pumpkin you’ve got there!

Thank you! It’s really a hobby of my husband. He’s an urban farmer. He works hard on it, so I do my best to appreciate the fruits!
