Last month I was almost on a jury, but in the questioning I admitted a bias I didn’t know I had. I was dismissed. It was a good thing for me to examine. I don’t think it’s a bad bias, but with a jury trial, it’s important to start with a level playing field. It’s really not easy, and I hope the trial is fair. I think it will be.
During this process I spent hours inside a somewhat cheerless jury lounge and courtroom. So on the way home I stopped at my happy place, Terra Bella nursery. This place is amazing. I parked near the greenhouses where the houseplants are and bought these.

I got called up for jury duty a couple of years ago, but my ADHD helped me to get out of it. I think it would have been a nightmare to sit in a jury. Concentration is something I have trouble with. Good that you were honest too.
Your happy place sounds amazing.

Oh yeah that would have been tough. I was finding it interesting, but it was a very busy time, so good I didn’t do it. I’ve been chosen before and went three days before the case was settled. I now have a year before I’ll be called again. You would love the nursery. Many things I planted in the yard died and I’m fighting off a parasite out there now too. Gardening can be a bit tricky!
